If I Could Leave It All Behind
Written By: Elz-Eye
Like Russian roulette, life's a dangerous game...
I maintain the curse I obtained, for what I gave in exchange...
The more I stain-color my life, the grayer it stays...
I've knelt and I’ve prayed, but still I'm just a stranger in pain...
Under the rain, this dream doesn’t feel right...
It feels like these nightmares are caught up in real life...
I can see through the truths, even in still nights...
They still lie, like a reality that’s been concealed twice...
Do you know what it feels like to feel this pain that is felt?..
To get away from this hell I leave the pain on the shelf…
Right next to my personality, my name, and myself…
And try to forgive me for the mistakes that I’ve dealt…
Just a chance to breathe and release what’s left inside me…
Instead I spill my guts to this bottle of Jack beside me…
Escape at last to where no one else could find me…
Walk away and drink the past behind me…
